MAT CEO approach to our HT for school to join them so HT can get more money and promotion. Knows almost nothing about her. No mention of impact on students. Who would want to join a MAT with a CEO with those values?

Are we talking pre-appointment to any board even if you are an experienced gov who has served elsewhere ? What about individs who have lots of general gov experience ? Have sat in lots of edu gov trng that’s given by people who know little about gov’ce #ukgovchat

Making the assumption that parents actually have a choice - which they don’t in most areas. Better surely to work out which school you’ll get offered (which is quite easy) then just take your child there and save you and them lots of time, effort and angst.

So all the hard work by everyone at the Trust to bring next year in virtually at break even is down the toilet. Easy to accept recommendations when you aren’t paying for them ! Teachers deserve a rise but this will just lead to job losses or some trusts/schools will go under.
