Threads is cool but I’m not seeing any alt text options. Should I just add the description to my posts? Add in a comment? The app is super new so I suspect they’ll do a bunch of updates in the first two months and add in ALT then, but what do I do for these first few weeks?

Fantasy characters always have strange and unusual names but logically speaking there’s got to be some crossover between Elven Princeling names and words in English. Just once I’d like a fantasy book to be like: “High King Flyron, Queen Maribelliae, and their son Prince Soup.”

Threads needs some updates (alt text, hashtags, DMs, etc) but it’s looking really promising. I’ve been on for less than 24 hours and already have 1/3 of the number of the followers it took me two years to build up on Twitter.
