When you are experiencing intense pain, whether physical, mental, or emotional, it can be difficult to see past your pain. Pain can convince you that it has always been with you, and always will be. The truth is, with time and treatment, you can move past your pain. #StopSuicide

Remember that you matter.

Sometimes being “in the trenches” is about being fully present. It’s about being willing to sit with a person who is struggling mentally or emotionally and simply saying, I’m here and I’m sorry that you’re hurting. You matter. Your life matters. Your pain matters. #StopSuicide

Juneteenth is a reminder that freedom is more than giving “permission” to be free. True freedom requires access to employment opportunities, healthcare, and affordable housing. For Black Americans freedom has never come easily and should never be taken for granted.
