Today, we celebrated the inauguration of Chicago's new District Council members. It was inspiring to witness the beginning of a new chapter in public safety. Congratulations, Councilors!🎉

The CCPSA_Chicago just made history nominating 3 officers for next CPD superintendent. Congrats to Shon Barnes, Angel Novalez, and Larry Snelling on your nominations. And thanks to the Commission for conducting the most community-driven selection process Chicago has ever seen.

Last night I attended the 19th District Council’s monthly meeting, which included presentations from ONE Northside and Institute for Nonviolence Chicago. These orgs do critical work to reduce gun violence across Chicago. City government must do more to ensure they receive the funding they need.
