I think it's really positive that The Office for Students (OfS) have framed staff-student relationships as an 'abuse of power' rather than 'conflict of interest'.

Very good thread on an important regulatory step to prevent harassment and sexual misconduct in HE, which remains a deep-rooted problem.

Characteristically useful analysis by the 1752 Group on the OFS's new regulation on harassment & sexual misconduct in HE. We have to keep pushing for (well-defined) bans on staff-student relationships to keep PGRs & students safe - as encouraged but not required by OFS.
