One giant leap for womankind! 5 years ago today, Christina Koch and Jessica Meir conducted the first all-woman spacewalk, working outside the ISS to replace faulty equipment. Since the first spacewalk in 1965, there have been 265 spacewalkers. Only 23 of them have been women.

You're it! Four years ago today, the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft "tagged" the asteroid Bennu, successfully touching down and capturing this view of its descent, six-second tag, and back-away burn. The samples were successfully returned to Earth.

After just over 260 hours into the mission, #Apollo7 returned to Earth on October 22, 1968 splashing down in the Atlantic Ocean. Apollo's flotation bags had their first try-out, flipping the craft upright after crashing into the ocean. contactlight.de
