Prepping a new Urban Sociology undergrad class. Looking for recs for 1) introductory reader and 2) accessible monograph that might peak students’ interest. Any suggestions? #urbansoc

I am a sociologist who studies #squatting in the US. Squatting is not a dire threat and so-called “anti-squatting” laws threaten the well being of low-income tenants.

If you have any students bound for a sociology PhD program please encourage them to consider UO Sociology! I’m likely going to need some RAs for qualitative housing-related projects in the next few years. Also our grad student union won an enormous raise last year.
