🚨🚨 BREAKING 🚨🚨 After weeks of fighting parliamentary rules and Republican games, Arizona Democrats led a repeal of the draconian 1864 abortion ban and WON. Arizonans, we hear you.

Good to know we are out of the 19th century.

A state grand jury, made up of everyday, regular Arizonans, has handed down felony indictments in the ongoing investigation into the fake elector scheme in Arizona.

Here’s our House opponent making national news for backpedaling on his record of taking women’s rights away.

Winning both House seats in LD4 is a critical path to a Democratic majority in - my running mate Karen Gresham & I will fight to protect reproductive rights.

My executive order removing county attorneys' ability to prosecute women and doctors for performing or receiving abortions remains. I refuse to allow extremist county prosecutors to use this abortion ban to lock up women and doctors for seeking or providing needed healthcare.

Today’s legislative action was unconscionable. The extremist Republican majority had the chance to do the right thing for their constituents, and they failed.

While extremists in the legislature refuse to protect our rights, I will do everything in my power to protect

Despite some Republicans voicing disdain on a total abortion ban online, they all voted against repealing this extremist ban on abortion.

Arizonans have a right to reproductive freedom and this repressive ban does not align with the needs of everyday Arizonans.

Doug Ducey’s so proud of his voucher scheme that’s bankrupting the state and enabling convicted rapists to open subpar private schools in AZ that cost $24,000 a year…. Ya know, for the poor kids 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Election deniers set this problem up and now are sticking it to voters of all and no parties. They don't want you to have say in your government

Arizonans should not have to choose between buying groceries or affording life-saving medications.

By passing my proposed measures to cap the price of prescription drugs, we can build an Arizona where everyone thrives.

From the start, Rs have been unwilling to discuss changing the recount law, which caused the problem.

Alex Gulotta of All Voting is Local says that's 'incredible,' considering it's a flawed law with no deadlines/procedures. Voters shouldn't be punished because of this, he said.

'Voters did not create this problem and their voices should not be first on the chopping block.'

Rest assured - the Governor will not support any 'fix' that disenfranchises voters or includes elements that pander to election conspiracies.

I'm an Arizona Elections Officer and I cannot definitely tell you when the 2024 Primary Election will be happening in our state. It could be August? It could be July?! We won't know until the Arizona State Legislators come to an agreement and call a special session.

As someone here reminded me earlier today, time helps us think about this scale of wealth:

A million seconds ago was less than 2 weeks ago: June 27th 2023

A billion seconds ago? 1992

A trillion seconds ago? tens of thousands of years before recorded human history: 29665 BCE

Yes. American political economy is structured around debt. The state doesn't fund housing, it rubber-stamps mortgages. The state doesn't fund higher education, it rubber-stamps student loans. These are political choices that other countries didn't make

This isn’t NYC today.

This was 1973, just after the EPA was created and before it transformed air and water quality. In those early years the agency enlisted photographers to catalogue environmental disasters before they were cleaned up. The climate crisis is reversing history.

As public defenders, we usually don't get the credit we are due for lowering recidivism. It's a tough conversation, but one we need to have, and I'm glad Law360 gave me the chance to lay out an argument.
