The difference here lies on the lesson: Sean Foley is prejudiced to african americans but his love for his son outweigths his personal bigotry, Static's dad helps him while he confronts him on his views, he is not made into a punching bag but someone who can change.

โ€œIf they made this today youโ€™d call it-โ€ If it was made today, all tact would be nonexistent. Val-Yor would be a comical coward and the robots he was fighting would probably be revealed to not be evil. In fact, itโ€™s bold he ends the episode still a racist asshole โ€œheroโ€.

What makes Tenma's rejection of Atom so emotionally brutal is that he wanted his son back, & instead he got a stranger who wears his child's face. Atom's a reminder of a truth Tenma doesn't want to face: he can't resurrect the dead. He canโ€™t acknowledge that Tobio's gone forever.

theres so much happening on kh twt but please remember that grooming is predatory and takes advantage of minors trust to abuse/ manipulate them. dismissing it, trying to sweep it under the rug, and continuing your support is just insane.

Defending and protecting a groomer when youโ€™re one of the biggest pillars in a series targeted towards children is so insane.

One thing that has sort of dwindled and become "lost media" more and more as time went on was Robodex 2003's showcase of a real life Astro Boy robot, specifically of this very scene (his birth) There's only one video, and a handful of pictures. It's both freaky and cute.

I find it weird that people are up in arms about the proposed Astro Boy reboots being more reinterpretations rather than direct adaptations when the two most popular versions of Astro Boy these days ARE reinterpretations rather than direct adaptations

I'm currently trialing higher pricing ($600 - $800+) for about a month or two, but if this causes a noticable decrease in clientele I will be reverting to my previous pricing scheme ($400-$600+)
