This is true for bugchains since PoS is a bug. The original fix was outlined in the Bitcoin whitepaper back in 2008. Unfortunately that fix came with some expensive trade-offs so an upgraded fix was rolled out on the Chia blockchain almost 4 years ago.

Being right early is often mistaken for being wrong. Most people who only have a surface level understanding of things can't tell the difference.
