Pretty cool: Louisville native Meechie White — No. 3 on Eastern Illinois who grew up as a Kentucky fan — getting to play against the Kentucky Wildcats in Rupp Arena. He got a small applause from the home crowd. 👏

Meechie White's coach had great things to say about Meechie playing in Rupp Arena and the Kentucky fans who cheered when he was introduced.

Meechie White says playing back in Rupp Arena was a great experience.

Coach Simmons in March of 2025 pick up the phone to recuit me he has not told me one lie. Coach told me straight away he was working to get Kentucky on the schedule. Within the next 24 hrs I was committed and he’s preached to take advantage of these moments. Marty Simmons
