From this morning on the cruise En route to the DR Plus views from the gym (6 miles, 4 at goal race pace (7:50-8/min/mile) + chest / back lift, put on an absolute clinic. Fueled by the prime rib and key lime pie from night before. Had to get it done) Big excursion tomorrow

One major negative about running distance is the violent hunger you get on a daily basis, especially the day after long runs And I’m only running 15-18 miles a week rn Couldn’t imagine what it’s like training for a full marathon

Okay I am back Just ran my half on Sunday that I’ve been training for since the beginning of the new year, hit my goal of 1:45 but missed my stretch goal of sub-1:45 That last portion of all sub-8min/mile one of the hardest things I’ve ever done… literally had the chills later

Amazing (terrible) start to the day hitting some heavy-ish legs Barely touched leg days when training for the half over the last 3.5 months so great to be back Strength wasn’t really impacted too which is ideal, was too soft to go up to 405 for the trap bar deadlift tho Full
