Even though they’re gag characters, their actual songs and backstories are pretty freaky. Especially Grey; not only is he a dead kid trapped in a crappy bootleg world, but he got captured in a Pokéball in the end. Brutal.

The sound of his scream being bitcrushed is the sound of him being sucked in. I think its meant to be twisted irony.
