I wondered whether I was the only one taken aback! What's this obsession with having foreigners buying buses to run Nairobi transport?? You inconvenience Kenyans so that foreigners can have it easy? Now more than ever, I am convinced we have illiterate MPs.

A ream is 500 pages. There is no way a child uses more than 50-100 pages a term (exams papers). Meaning that schools are using those ream papers for their own things or selling them. These are the things the Ministry of Education should be investigating. This is exploitation.

Someone's child is being refused entry into their high school because she hasn't carried a ream of paper. Btw the ream of paper is required every month. This child spent the holiday with relatives in Western because it was cheaper than her coming home for 3 weeks.

#LandIsNotProperty Mwalimu Wandia Micere Nyaga That's what I thought as well. Let it be citizen led, and citizen focused. Everyone talks about themselves, their issues and how they want them solved. If they realize the politician is not doing enough, they'll even have enough time and votes to impeach the person

We were colonized for 68 years by settlers who occupied our land because they were white and supposedly more civilized. The Mau Mau who resisted them were also called terrorists. We are not stupid.

PLO denied being involved. US intelligence pointed to Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. Also, the bombing was a reaction to Kenya's involvement in 1976 Entebbe raid.

Kenya can't engage in global feuds then get emotional when people respond as expected.

Mwende This is the right way. Politicians hate organization and anytime they see a program, they feel caged.
Start without them, have an agenda that touches on their work not their individuality.
They will gatecrash

Micere Nyaga True.
Even with your idea of a structured meeting with a Q&A, a politician might not attend if they are the main agenda. So if all else fails, remember that if they hear people are discussing politics somewhere without them, they'll attend

Weirdly enough, the easiest way to get the politician to attend, is to organize a gathering, and not invite them. They hate being left out. Plus they'll think someone else is already campaigning against them( coz they can't imagine citizens just meeting without a leader)

We had some 'progressive' artists working with BAP but the heat of our uncompromising politics proved to be much too hot so they retreated to the familiar & non-threatening spaces of book clubs and abstract discussions.
