US Army Major Neal Wallace Lovsnes Jr. of Carlisle, PA. gave his all on this day in 1969 in South Vietnam, Thua Thien province. He was a Field Artillery Unit Commander and served with the 101st Airborne Division, 101st Admin Company.

On April 15, 1952 – The 1st B-52 prototype test flight was made. The B-52 is a long-range, subsonic, jet-powered strategic bomber. The B-52 was designed and built by Boeing, which has continued to provide support and upgrades. It has been in operation since the 1950s.

On July 10th, 2017 SSG William “Billy” Kundrat was conducting a training operation as part of Marine Special Operations Team (MSOT) 8231. While in route the KC-130 they were flying in broke apart in mid-air and crashed in Leflore County Mississippi.

LCPL Ronald Wayne Salzmann of Bundaberg, Queensland served with the 3rd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment. Ron was fatally wounded in an accident on 14 April 1971. He was 24 years old at the time of his passing. Lance Corporal Salzmann spent 388 days in country.

Pvt Dennis James McCormack who was born in Adelaide South Australia, assigned to The Royal Australian Regiment (6RAR).
On 18 August 1966 Private McCormack was fatally wounded during the Battle of Long Tan. Dennis was 21 years old.

Pfc Johnny Harrison of Hempstead New York, who served with Company A, 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, United States Army. Johnny was fatally wounded on May 17, 1966 during Operation Hardihood. He was 21 years old.

Sgt. Joshua A. Schmit, 26, of Willmar, Minn.; assigned to the 1451st Transportation Company, 13th Support Command, Iraq.; died 14Apr07 in Fallujah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.

LCpl Jacob Johnson, of Moncks Corner South Carolina, who served with Company C, 1st Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, Third Marine Amphibious Force. Jacob was fatally wounded on November 17th, 1968 in the Quang Nam province of South Vietnam. He was 20 years old.

SSG Joshua Braica, 29, a critical skills operator with 1st Marine Raider Battalion, suffered critical injuries when the MRZR tactical vehicle he was driving experienced a rollover.
He was medically evacuated and did not survive his injuries, passing away the evening of 14Apr19.

Sgt Marcus Truman Kennedy, of Skiatook Oklahoma, who served with the 25th Infantry Division, 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry, B Company. Marcus was fatally wounded on September 28, 1967 in the Hua Nghia province of South Vietnam. He was 20 years old.

Sgt Charles Dominic Caserio, of Albuquerque New Mexico, who served with the 101st Airborne Division, 326th Engineer Battalion, A Company. Charles was fatally wounded on September 13, 1971 in the Thua Thien province of South Vietnam. He was 22 years old.
