This probably isn't much of a surprise. It was nice they had extended it another two seasons in the first place but with the Big 12 expansion, non-conference slots for these types of things are reduced. It also gives both conferences a little more flexibility to get own H/H.

UConn’s dominance throughout this tournament did not help the selection committee’s case to include three Big East teams.

Four of the past eight NCAA title winners have been from the Big East. The Big Ten title drought continues, as Michigan State in 2000 was the last winner from that league.

Creighton can say a couple times now they were the last team to defeat the eventual National Champ -- UConn & Villanova.

Only loss during that span was at the hands of Creighton and 18,000 strong inside CHI Health Center Omaha.

Castle, Karaban and Spencer combined to go 8-of-24 from the field and 6-6 from the FT line for 23 pts.

Nine of the 12 Sweet 16/Elite 8 games had at least one official advance to the Final Four. Creighton-Tennessee, Arizona-Clemson, and Duke-NC State were the three that did not.

I love the spark Jasen Green was able to give at the end of the season. Excited for his future as a Bluejay.

Creighton was 2-1 against final 4 teams UConn and Alabama this season. Both are on the schedule next season.

Plus the Jays could play Arizona and Gonzaga in Battle 4 Atlantis next season.

Speaking of Battle 4 Atlantis, even more intrigue with West Virginia in the field.

They need a Katsopolis rule.
