On this day in 1995: Bill Gates sent an urgent memo to his executives.

It was about the Internet.

Only 0.4% of the population used it.

But he called it a tidal wave…

… and the most important
development since the PC.

On TV, it was joke material.

This is particularly terrifying because China will mass murder people who protest or use these killing machines when trying to steal more territory from its neighbors.

If XiGPT is the Chinese response to OpenAI … I’m not so worried about this techno-economic war. Good luck commies!

Plan for defeating China in Cold War 2:

1. Get McKinsey to give them advice

2. Get our banks to sell them AAA bonds

3. Send our AI safety specialists to give them advice

4. Send our CDC to help them stop epidemics

5. Send them Aaron Peskin to help make their housing cheaper

Cheap batteries are a GAME CHANGER for
GRID CONGESTION and for SOLAR and WIND

We are now moving towards $60 on the cell level for LFP and $40/kWh for sodium ion. $100 for stationary systems in Chine. Using them for demand response will turn the energy system upside down.

In Silicon Valley, you can indeed see the winds changing because people are fed up of the extreme left.

We're also being flooded with illegal immigrants rather than the skilled

Wow, if this new Jeep is comparatively priced, I'd love to buy it. Tesla technology is now more than a decade old, which is a lifetime in technology. :)

When reverse discrimination goes too far, lives are put at risk as quality and standards drop.

America’s extreme left has crossed the line.

My friend Dhume's likening of Rahul Gandhi to Hugo Chavez will strike some as too shrill, but he is right to sound the alarm on the unbridled Pikettyesque leftism of the Congress party. Modi may be bad for India's secularism but this version of Congress will wreck India's economy

The rapidly dropping price of Chinese batteries is a good thing because it will accelerate the shift to clean energy, propel EVs, and enable the development of many new technologies.

We can still keep China's EVs and other surveillance-enabling technologies out with tariffs

It's okay for these British publications to criticize Modi, but the coverage is extremely biased and reflects colonial racism. The same problem exists with some US publications—they completely lack integrity and balance when it comes to covering India—and are almost always wrong.

It's not just the stock market, Frank Luntz. U.S. economic growth is the strongest in the industrialized world, inflation (while still a problem) is the lowest, and unemployment is the lowest in 60 years.

Agree with Noah Smith 🐇🇺🇸🇺🇦: Some British publications don't seem to realize that the sun has set on the British Empire. They still reminisce about the days of colonialism and live in a dark past where they were glorious.
