ANNOUNCEMENT: Unfortunately I won't be traveling to Oregon for the World Championships. Even though I've been showing good performances, I'm not certain that I can handle the 2 full days of decathlon. I'll take the extra few weeks and focus on the Europeans in Munich mid august.

So World Athletics cuts down the decathlon to 24 competitors (22 left by the 400) and still couldn't be bothered to put in an extra heat in the 400m so athletes don't have the disadvantage of running in lane 1. The amount of disregard for our event really is a sight to behold...

8460 entry standard for the world championships next year... Guess most of us can look forward to another year of World-Ranking-Bonus-Point Roulette™. Because if there's anything us decathletes like with our decathlon, it's some more uncertainty✌️.

I was a huge fan of Tim Lobinger growing up! He was a great vaulter and had tons of character... Who remembers him mooning the prince of Monaco? Unfortunately he went too soon after a lengthy battle with cancer. Rest in Peace Tim!
