Congratulations to the members of the Wellness Corner on a great year of reflective music, wellness colouring, reading, relaxation breathing and our biggest activity-the creation of a beautiful Granny Square blanket.  This blanket was created collectively by the wellness group.

Another win for our soccer team. Today our Senior Soccer team won the league final in a thrilling final against a strong Coláiste Choilm. It was a well evened match with a score of 1-1 up until the last two minutes with Ella Nangha scoring the winning goal. UCB Abú !

Well done to our first year sustainability classes on completing the ECO UNESCO Youth Sustainable Development Course and the Education4Sustainability Climate Literacy Programme. A huge thank you to Carmel from Education for Sustainability for running the fantastic Climate Literacy sessions.

Yesterday we held the TY graduation ceremony. Students reflected on the memories made throughout the year as well as celebrating their achievements. Each student received certificates to mark their accomplishments. Thank you to Ms McNamara and Ms O’Mahony for everything.

Our TY Choir made their very own music video. They recorded the audio for it during one of their classes and the video during another. Thanks to Ms Sliney for editing the clips together. A great display of creativity.

Congratulations to our outgoing Senior Student Council, who graduated today and leave behind a fantastic legacy-successfully achieving the Amber Flag for promoting positive mental health at UCB. We are proud of your incredible work and contribution to school life.

A fresh approach to find ways to develop students’ physical coordination was captured with the First year workshop titled ‘Ping Pong & Frying Pans’. So if you need an additional use for your pots, pans and kitchen table over the summer, you know what you can do.

As the school year comes to an end we bid farewell to our 2024/2025 overseas students. They developed great camaraderie between themselves and with the other students in the school throughout the year. Safe travels from all at UCB.

Best of luck to all our 3rd and 6th Year students who begin their state examinations tomorrow. We are all thinking of you and wishing you well for the next few weeks. From all the staff at UCB.
