Workers from UNITE HERE Local 355 are calling on hotels to raise standards for guests and workers, reverse cuts to services and amenities.

Today I had the honor of introducing UNITE HERE Philly 274 in the Senate. They’re the essential workers of Philly’s sports and entertainment venues whose labor brings joy to so many. And right now, they’re fighting for good wages and healthcare for themselves and their families.

This May Day, we went to Harrisburg to tell lawmakers about our fight for family-sustaining wages and benefits at Aramark, and we took action in our Philly hotels to tell our employers to RESPECT OUR WORK!

What a fantastic May Day, as we joined hotel workers in 18 cities across the US and Canada, demanding respect for hotel workers.

BOOM! 💥 Hotel workers showed up big today - and this was only the beginning.

Union contracts covering 10,000 Bay Area hotel workers are set to expire this summer. Today, we showed the hotel companies that we’re ready to fight!

This May Day, Minneapolis hotel workers took action alongside our union siblings in almost 20 other cities.

We want fair contracts that respect our hard work!

Our message is simple: respect our work, respect our guests!

As hotel workers, we take pride in welcoming visitors to San Francisco, but our jobs aren’t enough to make ends meet – and staffing cuts have made it harder for us to give guests the service they deserve.
