Lafayette A. Tillman was born in Evansville, Indiana in 1869. He attended Oberlin College, then relocated to Kansas City, Missouri becoming a barber. After a stint fighting in the Spanish-American War, he returned home and became one of the city's first Black 🇺🇸 police officers.

U.S. police became more violent after the murder of George Floyd.

The “global reckoning” stirred by Floyd’s brutal murder culminated in increased police violence, increased police funding and decreased accountability.

2020 wasn’t a year of reckoning— it was a coronation.

Keenan is 1 of 12 siblings our father Vincent and Mother Katherine struggled with a drug addiction. Some of my siblings including myself where born with drugs in their system. We all bounced around from different homes and suffered many abuses as children.
