I attended an event celebrating the 76th Anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Congratulations to the Birmingham Chinatown Business Association Organising Committee on a successful celebration bringing people together and strengthening community ties.

Today marks the beginning of Black History Month, in which we honour the achievements, contributions, and history of Black people in the UK and around the world.

The attack at a synagogue in Manchester on Yom Kippur is absolutely heartbreaking. My deepest sympathies go out to everyone affected and to the Jewish community at this difficult time. 🙏🏽

Today I had the pleasure of visiting the Jami Mosque & Islamic Centre as part of the national “Visit My Mosque” programme by the MCB The event featured Islamic art exhibitions, guided tours, Q&A sessions, and even personalised calligraphy, which was a lovely touch.
