The 70th Recruit Class has reported for duty! For the first time in its history, the WSP lateral transfer, accelerated academy class began this week. The class will rotate between two weeks at the Academy and two weeks on-field training.

It’s #SevereWeatherAwarenessWeek . Please stay alert and #MoveOver or #SlowDown for stopped emergency vehicles, especially in adverse weather conditions. Thankfully, no one was hurt last week when a WSP cruiser was struck while providing traffic direction at the scene of a crash.

The WSP strives to stay involved and give back to local communities. Recently, trooper Hart attended the Community Heroes Egg Hunt in Baraboo. The community event gave kids an opportunity to meet local first responders while hunting for eggs. It was an EGGcellent turnout!
