Here for Agile and other software stuff. I want to make it all better. Don't take me too seriously. I'm just amusing myself. JW.

I've heard microservices called a fad. It's worse than that. It's annihilated everything else. If I even suggest not splitting two things up someone rolls their eyes and says, 'That would be a monolith,' like we're all supposed to know how stupid that is.

Have I internalized OOP?
I write a lot of code in C#. I never think about OOP.
I think that SOLID is five good principles out of a lot of good principles. I never thing about SOLID either.
I can't think of a scenario where I'd violate the Liskov Substitution Principle.

Jira already has the board. If we gave it photos and samples of our voices could it do the standup without us? We have the technology.

If you were going to display repeating elements of data like an audit trail for some entity, would you display it in full sentences?
I don't think that's the best . When we scan data we're not reading. Forcing someone to pick data out of sentences makes it more work.

If you give me 20 KPIs the software is supposed to drive without involving me in any decisions, I'm going to tune it out whether I want to or not. I'll just build whatever you tell me and hope for the best.

Why does anyone need a fertility symbol? What does that accomplish? “Look, I have a rabbit to symbolize fertility.” Why does it sound like that’s the only symbol? What are the other ones?

> My electrical socket ensures that devices aren't tightly coupled to the wiring in my house or to the electrical grid. But how do I keep devices from being coupled to the shape of the electrical outlet?

No. Stop. You're done.
