Been lots of this. Voting’s long closed so what is their aim? To defer criticism for other results? That won’t work. If it’s close why not heavily downplay hopes so it looks like you’ve excelled? No gain in saying you’ve won if you haven’t. And if you have won no one cares today

In 1880 every Cabinet minister had an estate and ornamental garden with 20 gardeners (12 of these are now open to public). In 1980, only Heseltine had same (Lord Carrington's garden was too small to count), though 3 said they liked gardening in Who's Who
