New #APIsUnplugged episode alert! It was a huge privilege for Mike Amundsen @[email protected] and I to sit down with Matthew Skelton #BLM 💙🌻 and Manuel Pais #BLM #StandWithUkraine 🇺🇦 🇵🇸 and discuss the philosophy and practice of Team Topologies. So much insight on such a critical topic! Listen here: soundcloud.com/mulesoft/apis-…
Simon Willison @minhokim42 Ned Batchelder A human-friendly workaround would be to create a github pages domain for your personal profile. I have never tried this, but you could serve `rel=me` links from GitHub pages on the personal repository. Users could then see in Mastodon that your GitHub is `simonw.github.io`
“Too often, an online communication tool resembles something like a giant open-plan office with people shouting across the building and expecting people to hear all the details.”

A post about Conway's Law wouldn't be complete without a tip of the hat to Matthew Skelton #BLM 💙🌻 and Manuel Pais #BLM #StandWithUkraine 🇺🇦 🇵🇸 for writing Team Topologies and making it much easier to explore this topic.
If you didn't care about Conway's Law before reading this thread, I hope you will now.
Mathias Verraes Matthew Skelton #BLM 💙🌻 Absolutely. TT assumes you accept a few principles. For example,
- team is an indivisible unit of delivery
- you are optimising for flow, not for scale
- teams align to problem spaces and not solutions
Etc.
I am interested in what happens if these principles are not adhered to
Team Topologies is not a 'model' but a set of constraints to encourage emergent behaviours.
(That's what I have realized since writing the book, anyhow).
