Elon Musk Interesting point, but an example might make it clearer. Can you think of a prominent person who's currently wasting his talents in software when he could be working on manufacturing and heavy industries?

If the government feels the need to take action over TikTok's data collection practices, then I hope they ban those practices, with heavy penalties, rather than simply banning TikTok.

Then consumers would also be protected from Meta, Google, etc doing exactly the same thing.

The Unison language (unison-lang.org) has some really interesting ideas, from content-addressable immutable code to dependency-injection with abilities, a powerful yet simple alternative to monads. I've written a couple of articles: pragdave.me/discover/

Enjoy
