Congratulations! I remember seeing bits and pieces of this over the years, it's incredible to see how Harrison Ritz has weaved them together to explain how the brain monitors and uses multiple control streams. Excellent paper!!
It's wonderful working with thoughtful collaborators Marc Lluís & Oriel FeldmanHall!
This project was a delight to work on. We took an unconventional approach toward decision-making and showed that mental representations about uncertainty predict gambling decisions. Details in the paper!
🎉 New review article! 🎉
Computational models of subjective feelings can help us understand subjective psychiatric symptoms. By Chang-Hao Kao Gloria Feng Jihyun K. Hur Huw Jarvis in Neuroscience & Biobehavioral Reviews! doi.org/10.1016/j.neub…🧵👇1/n
Fascinating study by Marc Lluís looking at how being averse to uncertainty leads to more differentiated semantic representations behaviorally and neurally.
I can't believe how long it's taken me to announce this, but after completing my PhD with my incredible mentor Oriel FeldmanHall, I've had the wonderful opportunity to start my next adventure as a postdoc with Robb Rutledge!!
I’m very excited to be presenting on how “Economic Inequality Corrupts Moral Standards” as part of #BrownResearchMatters . If you’d like to see my 5 minute talk please tune in at ~4:36 EST here: brown.edu/web/livestream/
For a primer on how to model emotions using data-driven, computational tools and machine learning approaches, please join Joey Heffner and Oriel FeldmanHall’s #AffectScience2022 Methods Event on Whova, starting soon at (Fri) 5pm PDT, 8pm EDT, (Sat) 9am JST, 11am AEDT!
