For my wife Lauren Brannan and many like her. She’s finishing her EM residency 630 miles away, a Masters in Applied Statistics and Analysis, has 29 peer reviewed publications, and that’s just the start. #giveherareasontostay UNMC Anesthesiology AMWA Doctors @ELAMProgram

Grateful to ⁦Karen Bullock⁩ who gave a superb grand rounds about racial inequity in palliative care this week ⁦MGH Palliative Care & Geriatric Medicine⁩. Who decides the definition of a “good death?” Clinicians? Or patients and families? ⁦@releiter⁩ ⁦⁦HMS Palliative Care

Sharply poignant reminder of the power of presence even when - especially when - we don’t have the power to fix. 💔 So easy to feel powerless when in fact we can still make a huge impact on a patient’s experience… ❤️

via @NYTOpinion This isn’t simply about a life changed by grief. It is about private brokenness becoming whole as a consequence of loss. Included are themes of impostor syndrome, depression, and what it means to live authentically. Gripping. nytimes.com/2022/01/23/opi…

This isn’t happening far away or long ago. It’s here and now: neo-Nazis demonstrating outside Brigham and Women's Hospital on 1/22/22. It’s our job as clinicians to identify and redress health inequities. Period. michellemorse we’re with you.

My piece for ⁦New York Times Opinion⁩ is in print today in the Sunday Review! May we all find a way to hold each other through the grief engendered by COVID and losses beyond COVID. The prelude to compassion is the willingness to see. ❤️ ⁦Eduardo Bruno

When I took on leadership of the #CHIP clinic Dana-Farber Dana-Farber News, I was #bookedandbusy lots of #CHIP & #CCUS had been diagnosed since we rolled out our clinical NGS panel in 2014/15. But the uncertainty (the “indeterminate potential”) was disquieting.
