Im at UT-Austin where a pro-Palestine rally has just begun. Probably 200 protesters on the South Lawn and some police probably 20 yards away.

Analysts on CNN have brought up these counter-protesters and their attack on pro-Palestinian demonstrators multiple times, raising the question, again, of who they were.

Only have a 15-minute sample size, but really different tone of coverage of police breaking down UCLA's protest camp between CNN and MSNBC rn.

CNN is largely just describing what's happening.
MSNBC has NYPD patrol chief on, with Morning Joe crew lauding recent police actions.

When people do this, it is a literal example of something that — and I cannot stress this enough — could've been an email.
