Sir Edward Trunk reports that Monday’s Motley Crüe underplay in NYC was “totally raw real punk rock”.

I mean, yeah, they invented it

Agreed about the randomness but my such “official” protests are less about revising prior results and more about breathing down the neck of the crew working the rest of the series. It’s a tactic, much like Pat Riley crying about bad calls in the 90’s

In 2016 Newcastle fans held a protest in St James Park in opposition to Sports Direct's zero hours contracts. They reasoned, quite rightly, that it brought shame on their club by association.

Back in 2009 Reckless asked Steve to write something about record stores for record store day. He agreed & wrote this. We published it in the Chicago Reader as an advertisement

Two mix tapes that Steve Albini sent me in 1984 after I wrote about Big Black in my fanzine Hit the Trail. (I was 16 or 17.) Incredible: first time that I heard Ivor Cutler, Wipers, Scratch Acid, Friction, Slovenly, Cravats, etc., etc. What a sweetheart.

Struggling to find any words upon hearing of the passing of Steve Albini. Body of work aside, he was one of the most thoughtful, funny and generous people I’ve ever known. Hard to quantify his impact on the countless (non-famous) musicians he helped over the decades.

having seen the Ric Flair video, I think it is fair to say his final trip to Piesano's Pizza worked out nearly as way as his final match
