Today I watched some of Alex Wharton 's workshop with a group of young people for Hay Festival. He is so talented, inclusive, and inspiring. The young people produced fantastic work. Definitely consider booking him if you work at a school or youth setting.

37 years ago at my late mother's graduation from The College of New Rochelle; I graduated from SUNY Fredonia the week prior. My late dad, who couldn't read, held us both down as we pursued our education.

Proud to have added an The University of Edinburgh “First in Family” badge to my Staff Pride Network lanyard - so our students know that if they are the first in their family to come to uni (as I was) they have folks like them here, looking out for them and that they can talk to.
