Spent this afternoon with the incredible 🌟breast cancer team at St George's NHS FT NHS including my oncologist Dr Kelleher 🪄- all there to recognise Mia - an amazing 23 year old patient who finished chemo & with no experience ran a half marathon for the unit 🙌🏼🏃‍♀️ #inspo 💪🏻

Sunday will be #InternationalDayOfTheMidwife and here at St George’s we celebrated it with some fun events today.

Staff hosted their very own Bake-Off before enjoying a delicious lunch together.

The celebrations ended with the Midwife of the Year Awards.

It was a great day ♥️

A patient has thanked medics after her lunch landed her in hospital and she needed an op.

Carolyn Dale was rushed to St Helier after a chicken bone lodged in her throat - it was later removed at St George’s.
