Over 100 agripreneurs have been enrolled in the Engaging Kenyan Youth in Agriculture & Nutrition (EKYAN) programme in Kirinyaga County. Under EKYAN, UNICEF Kenya provides agricultural education & sustainable, climate-smart solutions to young farmers to enhance farming practices.

The first doses of the mpox vaccines have arrived in DR Congo. With partners, UNICEF is working to ensure equitable access to vaccines and deploying other essential supplies, such as PPE, diagnostic kits, and hygiene materials, to protect children and communities.

Representative Shaheen Nilofer is at Kakuma Refugee Camp. She met with Deputy County Commissioner Yusuf Salat to discuss important issues affecting children living in the refugee camp - nutrition, protection, youth skilling and school Internet connectivity.
