Resurfacing to begin Aug. 6 in Ness County Traffic changes for a resurfacing project along K-96 from the Lane/ Ness county line east to the east city limits of Ness City are anticipated to start on Tuesday, Aug. 6.

Passing lane project to begin Aug. 5 in Meade County Traffic changes for a passing lane project will start Monday, Aug. 5, along U.S. 54 from Meade/Seward county line east for 1.5 miles west of Plains. Traffic changes are needed to allow for passing lanes to be constructed.

Resurfacing to begin along U.S. 83 in Finney/ Scott counties Traffic changes will start on Aug. 12, along U.S. 83 from the U.S. 50/83 intersection north to the south city limits of Scott City.

Resurfacing to begin along K-96 from the Lane/ Ness county line east to east city limits of Ness City on Aug. 12.

A bridge replacement project is underway along K-34 over Bluff Creek in Clark County. K-34 in all directions at Bluff Creek Bridge is closed to replace bridge. Closure will be in effect throughout duration of the project. Traffic will follow the signed detour U.S. 54, 283 ,160.

CRASH ALERT: A crash involving a pickup with a trailer along K-156 west of Jetmore has been reported. KDOT crews are flagging one-lane traffic through the scene. Slow down and use caution if traveling in the area.

KDOT hosts a job fair in Dodge City Aug. 29 KDOT will host a job fair geared toward Equipment Operator and Engineering Technician positions in SWKS from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, at the KDOT shop located at 11310 E Wyatt Earp Blvd in Dodge City.
