SDLP Youth strongly condemns the decision made by the First and deputy First Minister to include NI in the proposed ban on puberty blockers, this decision is harmful to the lives of many young transgender and non-binary people. Trans Rights are Human Rights!🏳️‍⚧️💙

Met with Translink today to challenge the unacceptable absence of Irish language signage in what will be this island’s largest transport hub here in Belfast. This must be addressed urgently. This hub needs to be representative of the inclusive and shared city we are working to

The SDLP Opposition is today launching an ambitious ‘Plan for Change’, setting out a vision and priorities for the remainder of the mandate – while challenging the Executive to set clear targets and ambitions rather than vague aspirations.

The public deserves clear targets in the Programme for Government. Sadly this document is light on substance, and fails to mention key areas including the establishment of an independent Environmental Protection Agency and the appointment of an Irish Language Commissioner.
