Native women and girls suffer disproportionately high rates of violence and murder. Their voices will not be silenced.

Today, I stand with Native communities on this National Day of Awareness for Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls.

On Yom HaShoah, we remember the six million Jewish victims murdered in the Holocaust.

As we mourn, we must also recommit ourselves to standing against antisemitism and intolerance.

I spoke with Secretary Jennifer Granholm on how important it is to address the nationwide transformer shortage, which is delaying new housing projects and threatening grid reliability in my district. We need to shore up our supply while encouraging domestic production.

I had the chance to stop by the Enumclaw Senior Center to meet with residents and staff and to discuss the $700,000 in federal funding I secured in Congress to revitalize this important center through renovations, safety improvements, and ADA-accessible entries and exits.
