Rose Bagot Women PIs likely spend more time & effort thinking about their mentoring. Maybe because of gendered expectations of them, or because they have gotten less adequate mentoring themselves so they know how disabling that is, or because they are made less confident in doing their job.

Let's stop citing variability as a reason for exclusion. But if you really want to study the less variable sex, for preclinical studies on and , the females are where it's at (bonus - anxiety conditions are more prevalent in females, so it helps to study them).
