OPP Provincial Constable Edward Roland Wickens died in the line of duty on Highway 11 near Orillia May 10, 1960 when a cement truck lost a wheel and struck his cruiser. Always remembered by his family and colleagues as a Hero in Life. #HeroesInLife

OPP Provincial Constable Richard J. Hopkins was known to colleagues as 'Hoppy'. He died in the line of duty in Mount Forest, Ontario on May 09, 1982 after being shot by a suspect. Constable Hopkins is remembered as a Hero In Life, Not Death. #HeroesInLife
