Big announcement! We’ve been working hard.

Leaders from the Minnesota Senate, Minnesota House, and Minneapolis City Council have come to an agreement on a minimum wage for rideshare drivers statewide.

I was excited to join COPAL for a press conference regarding immigrant rights and advocacy to support our neighbors.

I’m proud to be working with them to advance a policy resolution urging our federal government to grant Temporary Protective Status (TPS) for Ecuadorians.🇪🇨

Representative Sencer-Mura, Senator Mohamed, Council Member Chowdhury, and I, are hosting a MN Promise Act Town Hall with MEDA & Neighborhood Development Center.

Congratulations to the Minneapolis American Indian Center on their special grand re-opening. It was a beautiful day for our community.

I attended the event with Jamal Osman - Minneapolis Ward 6. We were proud to help approve $1.5 million for this project.

Happy Earth Day! Commissioner Angela Conley and I joined Congresswoman Ilhan Omar at Tortilleria La Perla and Better Futures. 

We discussed ways we could envision a zero-waste future and opportunities for us to partner. Rep. Ilhan Omar Angela Conley

Council President Elliott Payne - Minneapolis Ward 1 and I went to a meeting with leaders from ISAIAH (Black Barbershop Coalition, Muslim Coalition, and the Young Adult Coalition).

I was proud to speak about our encampment response policy ideas and ways we can ensure we are protecting renters.

It’s always good to see our residents in Community Office Hours!

People come in and out for constituent services and even talk about hot-button issues.

Our next one will be with Congresswoman Rep. Ilhan Omar in May.

I had a great time at the Public Health Heroes Award Ceremony and Resource Fair. I appreciate the work city staff did for this event.

We honored community members, organizations, businesses, teams, & individuals who are doing incredible work to advance public health.

Uber and Lyft, 3000 Minnehaha, Community Office Hours, and my concern that session will end without Smith Foundry being held accountable.

I had a great time at the LCC Annual Spring Gathering and Board Elections event yesterday!
