🇱🇹 Yesterday, Lithuania celebrated its Independence Day with an added milestone in energy independence.

On the 11th of March, Lithuania produced more electricity than it consumed.

The majority of this electricity was generated by RES, particularly wind and solar power. 🌬☀️

On 29 February, Deputy Minister of Energy Daiva Garbaliauskaitė participated in a joint meeting of the Directors General for Energy and Climate in Belgium 🇧🇪 to discuss the assessment and updating of the National Energy and Climate Plans, as well as the progress and challenges.

The National Energy Regulatory Council has launched the second #tender for the selection of a developer to develop a 700 MW #offshore wind farm in the #BalticSea . Tenderers have to submit their applications and documents to #NERC by 14 April 2024.
