On this day in 1961, Stirling Moss' victory in the Monaco Grand Prix has been hailed as perhaps his most brilliant. In an underpowered, privately entered (by Rob Walker) Lotus 18, Moss beat the dominant Ferrari Sharknose squadra, a legendary win!

I would like, if possible, to forget the sadness and remember the joy and thrills that this exceptional human being gave to us mere humans.
