Last week our MSc Nursing students took part in a disaster simulation. 🏥

This included scene assessment, triage and immediate treatment, and transfer to a receiving centre where students provided ongoing care.

East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust joined us for aspects of the simulation response. 🚑

Last week University of Derby Environmental Sustainability students visited Buxton Water to discuss sustainable water extraction and the hydrological system of the Peak District National Park. Water collected from Hogshaw Brook, the UoD borehole and St Anne’s Well have been analysed in the lab today.

I am looking forward to attending today’s event House of Lords with Patrick McLoughlin and William Burlington, where we will showcase the expertise of researchers and academics at Derby Business School and discuss our plans to create a blueprint for the business school of the future.

Students from Sports and Football Journalism and Forensic Science recently came together to take part in a combined real-world scenario in our Forensic Training Facility. 🔍

This was a great opportunity for students to take control of a scene that they hadn't yet encountered.

Today we held the ‘Get Ready for Uni with @BaasitSiddiqui’ competition awards. 🙌

The shortlisted students took part in practical activities in our TV and radio facilities and had their podcast premiered.🎙️
