Incarceration is gender violence. Incarceration is family separation. We fight and pray for the freedom of our moms. May they be reunited with their families in time to celebrate the next Mother’s Day at home.

Today, we remember our incarcerated mothers. Incarceration does not only target individual people, but affects families and communities.
