Nick fought a great campaign and in Rother Valley he took 7 of the 9 wards. A good result for the Conservatives in Rother Valley - but alas not everywhere in South Yorkshire thought the same.

Fantastic that Ben Houchen has been convincingly and deservedly re-elected in the Tees Valley. A great mayor who will continue to drive levelling up across the region

With the council wards now declared for the Rother Valley constituency it is clear that the Conservatives have WON the area, both in terms of the popular vote but also in number of councillors getting 12 seats compared to Labour's 5 and 3 independents.

Great to see two Conservatives returned in Dinnington Ward in Rotherham Council

Great to keep two seats and Labour to lose a seat in Sitwell Ward.

With still a few wards to come in - it is clear today is not a good day for Labour in Rother Valley

Very strong result in Thurcroft and Wickersley South, returning too great Conservative Candidates

Despite Labour throwing everything at us in Maltby East Ward - managed to keep Conservative Cllr Tinsley in this ex-Mining village.

Classic bully boy tactics we are so used to from Labour in South Yorkshire.
