Yesterday, Queensland hit a new winter maximum operational demand record (8,728 MW), up 12 MW from the previous record (4 July 2022). At the time, generation consisted of black coal 65.1%, gas 25.9%, hydro 4.2%, wind 2.5%, batteries 0.7% & imported electricity 1.6%.

AEMO is aware of a global technical outage related to a 3rd party software platform, which has impacted some participants in Aust’s energy sector. AEMO-operated energy systems & markets continue to function as normal. We'll continue to work with industry until issue is resolved.
