State owned sites are a crucial under utilized resource that the state has power over to develop housing. I spoke on the Assembly floor urging my colleagues to support creating housing on these sites, so we can ease the strain on the housing market. And great news: it passed! ⬇️

Who doesn’t like to see a movie with a cocktail in hand? 🍸

I’m glad this measure is passing in the budget to help theaters recover in a post pandemic economy!

As we wrap up negotiations on a housing deal, reminder that the affordable housing crisis is here, now. We can’t wait until we have a perfect deal to tackle the emergency, or we’ll never act.

When I was a college student, I spent hundreds of hours volunteering to elect Al Gore to the White House. That history came full circle this weekend at Climate Reality conference, where VP Gore is training people to tackle climate change. Not too shabby for a kid from Queens. 🌎
