Absolutely sick of this linguistic capitulation from those who should know better.

You can have a reasonable debate without taking on the language of the activists as if it were neutral.

“Back into public hands” is not a neutral way to describe nationalisation, BBC Newsnight.

Forever perplexed as to how people actually afford business class plane tickets.

It’s just another planet 🫠

For all the media focus on slavery and tearing down statues over the past few years, young people today are the most poorly informed generation on the issue in the country.

Poor staff work by the No10 team at least. If you are going to have flags then they have to be the right ones.

I can see why you would think that John - to me the term 'no fault eviction' doesn't mean 'leaving a property at the end of a mutually agreed fixed term'.

Sadly the Renters Reform Bill disagrees with us both. And anyone not in this weird policy bubble.

This is what the LIE of 'no fault eviction' language encourages people to think.

No normal human being on this earth calls leaving your flat at the end of the fixed term for which you've agreed to rent it an 'eviction', let alone a 'no fault eviction'.

The language of 'no fault evictions' is a nasty little lie.

I'm flabbergasted by how many otherwise sensible people have taken on this insane wording to describe the act of someone leaving a property at the end of the fixed term for which they have agreed to rent it.

London, the city with probably the worst housing crisis in the world, has miles upon miles of places like this. Extremely low density suburbs or single-story corrugated iron shed storage, literally less than 5 minutes from a Tube station in Zone 1.

It's genuinely wild.

It's notable that Ben Houchen supporters can be confident of asking the question 'have you noticed that stuff seems to be happening?' in the area.

Shows the power of a strong Mayor.

This is true in Greater Manchester and the West Midlands too. Less so London.

Absolutely right to object to this. Only 15 storeys tall on a brownfield site in central Brixton? It ought to be twice as tall and provide twice as many homes.

On the US finally passing their Ukraine aid deal, UK Defence Secretary Grant Shapps recalls a quote attributed to Churchill:

“Americans can always be counted on to do the right thing… after they have exhausted all other possibilities.”
