Massively concerned that the A66 Northern Trans-Pennine scheme - dualling the whole stretch between Penrith and Scotch Corner - is under review. Today at #PMQs I asked Keir Starmer to commit to this vital project which would reduce congestion, boost our economy, and save lives.

We thank Ed Davey for raising with the Prime Minister Keir Starmer at #PMQs today the impact that the removal of the universal entitlement to Winter Fuel Payments will have on unpaid carers like Norman, who are over state pension age and will no longer receive the payment.

Thank you to Ed Davey for highlighting what the Government's plans for Winter Fuel Payments could mean for carers just like Norman up and down the country. The Government should reconsider their plans which create a financial cliff edge for so many.

With news this week of a likely £100m cut to the ELM budget on top significant real-terms cuts via inflation, the economic situation behind the farm gate is of increasing concern.

The Government's new plans to tackle sewage dumping will not be enough to stop this scandal- we need a complete reform of this broken industry. We need a tough new regulator and to reform water companies into public benefit corporations where the environment is put before profit
