Watched the finale last night, and it was a beautiful ending to a beautiful show. The series had its violence but never relied on it to complete their character studies (on numerous characters), which were ultimately the backbone of the series. Gotta appreciate series

I've seen some dumb trends on this app, but this one may have easily been the dumbest (no, I still don't even know what it is).

The amount of DMs I've gotten from people who said they 'don't really go to the movie theater anymore' who are already planning with family and friends to go see

You love to see it πŸ€ŒπŸ»βš”οΈ

1️⃣ Open 529 before your kid is born and assign yourself as the beneficiary 2️⃣ Start making contributions to give your kid a bigger head start (may even get state tax deductions if using state 529 plan)
3️⃣ Change beneficiary to your kid when they're born and you get their SSN

surprised me more than any other movie so far this year.

Had way more of a good time with this movie than I thought I would going in.

Already spent $340 at the movies this month. Taking my wife to see on Friday for date night. Definitely going over $400 again this month at the movies.

So long early retirement πŸ₯²

Wouldn't call it a dud. However, there was a big missed 'what's real vs. not' AI/human conflict.

Wish the plot had Josh/Mayas baby (who Alphie is based on) live, then giving a conflict where Josh had to pick between the AI who loved him or his real daughter who never knew him.

'By the end of last year (2023), ARK funds had destroyed more wealth than any other asset manager over the previous decade, losing investors a collective $14.3 billion.'

Wanted to start tracking all the A24 films I've seen, as I've made it a point now going forward to try and see all of their movies in the theater.

Here is my A24 rankings from their films I've seen:

After 30, the constantly 'unlucky' are not unlucky. They're people who keep making poor and lazy choices continuously.

Alternatively, the constantly 'lucky' crowd usually just keeps making all the right and disciplined choices the former crowd refuses to make.

Part of me feels bad for Finance Guy because he's probably a good kid, but he had a tough post (401k vesting) and has since tripled down on this caricature of FinTwit engagement baiting.

Good example of when you look dumb (happens to us all), own it, learn, and don't dig heels.

You can hate on Marvel all you want.

But they're still the #1 movie studio that frequently reminds audiences why movies will always be better watched/enjoyed in theater > waiting to stream at home.

They provide moments in entertainment that make you want to feel a part of.

It takes somewhere (for most) between ages 25-30 to truly understand just how much your parents did and sacrificed for you.

Moving out and then having kids is usually the last step in this realization, and then you'll forever see your parents in a different light.
